Relationships between neurocognitive functioning and neuropathology in Parkinson's Disease Lead Investigator: Sephira Ryman Institution : Stanford University E-Mail : sryman@mrn.org Proposal ID : 1150 Proposal Description: Currently, I am in the process of assessing the feasibility of this project with the NACC database. The goal of the current research is to understand the relationships between neuropsychological performance, neuropathology, and cognitive status (i.e. mild cognitive impairment, dementia) in individuals with Parkinson's disease or Lewy Body Dementia. Identifying which neuropsychological measures predict the development of neuropathology will 1) help clinicians identify those at risk for subsequent dementia and 2) inform our understanding of the development of dementia in these disorders.
